03/20/2014 Gray Whales Heading North in Big Numbers

We’ve had several humpback whales just a few miles from Moss for a week now and observed some great behaviors, such as breaching and tail lobs. Fun stuff. The dolphins have been really great lately with many Risso’s and some days tons of Pacific White-Sided Dolphins running with the boat. The gray whale north migration is in full swing with many grays heading by. Today we observed our first mom and calf pair of the season. You know the orcas must be lurking. In fact, we have had several good orca sightings each week for this month so far. ¬†We still have spots on Saturday and Sunday, so come on out for these great early spring conditions!
